Performance Workshop Volunteer

Many Minds are looking for enthusiastic and committed people to join our team as Performance Workshop Volunteers in our weekly drama workshops.

We meet weekly at PRSC in Stokes Croft where we will play games and make performance in a safe, fun and inclusive environment.

We we will be working with our members alongside a number of arts and charity partners towards an outdoor participatory walking performance in June 2019 as part of Bristol Refugee Festival. We will be taking audiences through squares, streets and parks to uncover undiscovered sights and tell untold stories around Bristol.

We are looking for people to help support the sessions by preparing the space, welcoming and supporting members in the session and helping to clear the space after every session. Our volunteers are a key part of the team and are also required to participate in the workshop sessions.

Commitment required: We meet every Tuesday evening from 5:30- 9pm at the PRSC in Stokes Croft. We will start working in a central location outside (exact location tbc) after Easter and from the 27th May, we will be rehearsing 2 evenings and 1 weekend day in the build up to the performance. The performances will be on 22nd and 23rd June.

What we offer: We provide volunteers with group external supervision sessions, training to do the role, lots of staff support and the opportunity to work with some inspiring people on ambitious arts projects. We also reimburse travel expenses for getting to and from workshops.

“Volunteering with Many Minds is a truly incredible experience. You will feel supported, involved and utterly inspired by the group and art that is produced” – Katie, Many Minds Workshop Volunteer
