Member Trustees

Welcomed three Member Trustees onto our board in 2020. As a proudly member-led organisation, Many Minds has been dreaming of having members on the board for a long time. They’ll be working closely with our membership and our existing board members to help shape Many Minds’ future.

If you are a member and would like to raise anything to the board, you can do so by contacting the Member Trustees (

Below the Member Trustees introduce themselves and tell us why they wanted to be a Member Trustee:

“Hello, my name is Carina, I use she/her pronouns. I am so proud and grateful to be a Member Trustee.

My Many Minds journey started a few years ago, when I watched Viki’s [Many Minds Artistic Director] one-woman performance of HELP! several times, as I loved it! I then attended my first Many Minds workshop and was so excited as I just knew from the first 20 seconds of being in the room that it was what I needed. I know being involved has not only helped me, but many others. I wish to ensure the organisation continues to hold those that love it, but also reach many more people, as I know it has many more lives to save.

I want to let everyone know that I am here, I have time and energy to give each member to ensure you all feel safe and heard. Your voices are as important to me as they are to Many Minds.”

“Hi, my name is Tabby, my pronouns are she/her – I’m thankful to be a new Member Trustee.

My journey with Many Minds began in 2018, searching for creative, safe spaces – and like many others, found it only took seconds to fall in love. It has been, and continues to be, a completely life changing experience, community, space… Believe me the list goes on and on. Many Minds are a force for good in a difficult-at-best world.

I’m excited to dream of the future with you and look forward to hearing and relaying your thoughts: Feeling Alive Together.”

M, our third Member Trustee, shared the wonderful hand-drawn images above at our AGM. Here’s what they have to say on being a Member Trustee:

“It’s an honour to grow and continue to develop, have more responsibility and be involved in different ways. I really value how member-led Many Minds is, with these appointments reflecting that. It’s really exciting to be at the decision-making table during such transformative times!”

Becky Chapman is our Chair of the Board. Becky is the Executive Director of Diverse City, an award-winning organisation committed to diversity and equality in the arts.

“I have always admired Many Minds. I love their intersection of creativity and social action. I am thrilled to join the Board and be part of the journey of the organisation as I believe we should live in a world where all our diverse, mental states are acknowledged, welcomed and celebrated as an essential part of being human.  I believe that it is essential that the arts are humane and human and I am really interested in the opportunities and challenges that are being thrown on us as a sector in this time we are in.”
